Video problems after installing security KB896424

I have a Proliant G4 with XEON processor with Rage XL video. After installing Security Patch KB896424 from Microsoft's website the display on my flatscreen HP1755 is all screwed up. There is a lot of gray and none of the colors are correct. If I uninstall KB896424 everything is fine and looks good. I have the latest driver that I could fine ati2mpad.sys version 5.10. Any ideas? thanks

I forgot to mention that I am running W2003 Standard Edition.

have you tried to re-install the driver again.
remove it then recheck it.

It is known issue.
KB896424 replace gdi32.dll and it originate video problems.

yes karasik is right seems to be issu with some build or windows
