I've been an HP customer for 15-20 years now.

Now that support for Proliant is apparently outsourced to the Philippines, the quality seems to be in the toilet.

I had a simple question about a system health LED today, the rep couldn't answer it. The connection was poor (along with the long-distance delay), and after she told me she would look up the answer, I was on hold for 20 minutes then the call was abrubptly terminated from the remote side.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to get someone on a support call with a good quality phone link who actually knows the product? Do I need to have a support contract? (the call today was for warranty service on a new ML350-G6)

Or should I start thinking about switching to IBM for servers?
