W2K8 x64 on DL360G5: "Unkown" System Model in System Management Homepage

Hi,

I've just installed Windows Server 2008 x64 SP2 on a HP DL360 G5 Server. When opening the System Management Homepage (v3.0.1.73) I see almost no information about the server. What I can see is that the System Management Homepage does not seem to recognize the server model as it says:

System Model: unknown
Management Processor: none

Does anybody have an idea why the SMH doesn't recognize the server? BIOS and PSP are up to date.

Thanks
Michael

Re: W2K8 x64 on DL360G5: "Unkown" System Model in System Management Homepage

Hi,

Is the whole psp installed properly. In order for the management processor to show properly the ilo agents has to be installed.
Insight managements agents also has to be installed to show the System model.

Othere than this snmp has to be configured properly.

Hi Sins,

thanks, I just checked the SNMP configuration and it turned out that there was no community name specified. After adding the name "public" and restarting the service (which also restarts the HP agent services then) everything worked as it should!

Thank you very much!

Best Regards
