Warranty and voltage

I have a loyal customer that wants us to supply 2 high end proliant servers for their Mexico operation. They would like us to purchase and pre-configure these before they are sent to their Mexico plant.

How will we overcome the voltage issue (i'm presuming here that the system in Mexico is 110v), and what about warranty? We usually buy HP Carepacks, 5 year, hardware only, 4 hour response, 13 X 5. Will these be redeemable is bought in the UK for equipment installed in Mexico?

Re: Warranty and voltage

Hi,

Mexico's electricity is of 127V 60 Hz.

Regarding HP Carepack, the carepack is only valid in the country where its bought.

The reason is that not all regions can provide the same type of service, it depends on various factors.

Do speak to a HP Sales Rep regarding HP Carepack to clarify your doubts.

An example of HP Care Pack agreement:

Thank You!

Re: Warranty and voltage

Hi

Thanks for the information. Does this mean that UK purchased hardware will work in Mexico?

Re: Warranty and voltage

Have a look at the Quickspecs page of the model of servers in question.
I think most power supplies in Proliants support any AC voltage from 110v upto 250v

Thanks

Mark...
