Weird CPU/RHE3 problem
We have many Proliant DL380 G4 computers with RedHat ES3 Update 4 OS. Each box is hangs once in 2 week. I can't login neither with root user from console no to HP diag web homepage. When it occurs no login is allowed and load according "uptime" and "top" utilities is growing very significantly (30+), however "vmstat" indicated 99% CPU idle. After reboot it works again. I suppose we break one of the limits. It happens also with boxes which are not heavily used and no users are logged in.
I upgraded firmware, kernel and HP diag to the latest release - no result.
Any idea will be very appreciated,
Thanks,

Re: Weird CPU/RHE3 problem
I just got reply from RedHat support, they used to have some problems with cpqci HP kernel module and advised to unload it.
