What UPS cable can I use?
I need to configure a Proliant Server to use a Compaq UPS. I have no idea what UPS model I am working with: it's in a rack and is difficult to access. The only identification on the front of the UPS is the "Compaq" name and a serial number (TS385A0113).
I need to run a serial cable from the UPS to the computer and configure power managment. However, with this Compaq UPS there is a sticker label covering the serial port that states I should be sure not to use cable 142264 but instead use cable 295245.
I have a Comapq cable part number 05143218-6. Can you tell me if this is compatible with cable 295245?
Thanks
Dave

Re: What UPS cable can I use?
As a followup to my original question:
I found some serial cables labled: COMPAQ 128558-001 Rev A SPARES P/N 154020-001 CA 234828-003.
Is this cable safe to use with my UPS? IOW is it compatible with "295245"?
