Hi guys,
I have a couple of ML570G1's which I want to upgrade to gigabit ethernet. Currently they have three 100mb NICs each which I want to rip out and, preferably, put two dual port gigabit NICs in in their place (4 ports in total per machine).
I believe the ML570G1 has 64-bit, 66MHz bus. Looking on http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/networking/index-nic.html I can not see a card that would fulfill my requirement. Even a single port card! Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there are no dual port cards then I guess I will have to settle for single port ones - if I could find them.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Jordan

Solution
Jordan,
I have included the quickspecs link for the server:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10633_div/10633_div.HTML
Your options are as follows: single port Gig ethernet
Compaq NC7131 Gigabit Server Adapter, 64-bit/66Mhz, PCI, 10/100/1000-T 158575-B21
or Dual port ethernet with upgrade kit.
Compaq NC3134 Fast Ethernet NIC 64 PCI Dual Port 10/100 138603-B21
Compaq NC7132 10/100/1000-T Upgrade Module for NC3134 and NC3131 153543-B21

Re: What gigabit NIC's for ML570G1?
Thats excellent David!
Thank you so much for you reply.
Just one last thing. I see that I only have 2 64bit 66MHz slots and the rest are 64bit 33MHz. I think I might go for the 3134 with the 7132 upgrade - and two of these per server. That will give me 4 ports per server for only using 2 bus's.
Im just wondering that if I open up the server and there is another card in one of the 66MHz slots, will these NICs go into 33MHz slots as well even though they are labeled as 66MHz cards? (I will of course check before I purchase as to what slots I have available)
Cheers
