What is the proper way of setting up a HP Proliant server?

I'm about to purchase a DL360 G7 server that will run Hyper-V and am wondering what best practices I need to follow when it comes to setting up a HP server.

- first use the Smart Update Firmware DVD to update all the firmware,
- make appropriate changes to the BIOS (if needed),
- install the OS or use the SmartStart CD to do so?

How do you guys do it? Please provide as much detail, links to resources, tutorials as possible.

The process that we follow is the following;

1 - Update the Servers Firmware with the latest version (will be able to get the latest Smart Update Firmware DVD

from HP Site) The Cd's in the box won’t always necessary be the latest versions.

2 - Change all Bios settings as needed for the Application and your business purposes

3 - Load the Operating System with the Smart Start CD.
