What's going on with the controller?
I see these kinds of errors on the console on more than one blade.
In one case, the vms all had a question mark, the OS could not read the status of them.
I eventually rebooted the blade since I could not find a way to fix the problem and the blade hung.
I rebooted again and this time, it was fine.
After reboot and full recovery of proxmox, the errors still show up.
Does anyone know what's going on? More than one blade is showing this. I cannot believe multiple controllers are failing around the same time.

Re: What's going on with the controller?
You may want to provide some additional details, like what blade generation you are using and what Proxmox version.
FWIW, if you are running Gen8 or Gen9 blades (iLO 4) and Proxmox version 7.x, this might apply:

Re: What's going on with the controller?
I'm sorry. I had so much going on when I posted this and forgot to include more info.
They are gen8, sl230s blades running the latest ilo and proxmox 7.1.7.
I've been nervous about upgrading proxmox fearing something will break since these blades are so picky.
I'll take a look at that link, thank you.

Re: What's going on with the controller?
Have you tried downgrading the "amsd" package as suggested in the "hpilo kernel messages and Agentless Management Service (amsd) not working" section of the Proxmox forum post?

Re: What's going on with the controller?
Hi,
So you think the messages were just from amsd?
These blades are gen8 but the ones in the other thread are gen10.
I've ended up rebuilding this and some other blades since tihs was posted due to an unrelated OS problem.
This post seems to help in terms of using the agentless management service.

Re: What's going on with the controller?

I believe that is the case.
These blades are gen8 but the ones in the other thread are gen10.
The system type in the Proxmox forum post I referenced ([TUTORIAL] Proxmox VE on ProLiant MicroServer Gen8) is Gen8 (iLO 4), which is the same generation as your blades.
The issue, as I understand it, is that the latest AMS package in the HPE repo is compatible with Gen10 (iLO 5) systems, but that package is not compatible with Gen8/Gen9 (iLO 4). That is why it is necessary to use the AMS package compatible with Gen8/Gen9 (iLO 4).
