Which L2 cache sizes are acceptable?

I just recently acquired my 1500R and it has the Flex SMP riser board in it for dual PPros, It currently has a single PPro 200 256k L2 in it with a VRM, it works in that configuration. What mods would upgrading to dual PPros, with 512k or 1M L2 cache? Would I have to replace the current VRM? How about configuration changes? Any responce is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am not sure if PPros came with more then 256 L2 Cach. Obviously both CPUs should be similar and COMPAQ parts. Whenever aHardware change takes place System Configuration has to be run. The latest version of System config can be downloaded via SP19619 from our web site.
