Why doesn't HP 6.4TB PCIe Workload Accelerator support DL980G7?

Hi experts,

  I bought 5 *  HP 3TB G2 FH/HL PCIe ioDrive2 IO Accelerator for ProLiant Servers before and it worked fine. We wanted to increase our database capacity. When I check QuickSpecs of HP 6.4TB FH/HL Value Endurance (VE) PCIe Workload Accelerator here ( http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04123190.pdf?ver=4 )

, it does not list DL980G7. Why doesn't it support DL980G7?

Hi,

There appears to be no straight answer to this question!! It may be that it has not been officially tested yet and hence not included in the list. If it is intended to be used with the server' then you may want to put it through rigours in a test bed and then risk porting it to production!!!
