Wide Ultra SCSI-3 card wont install

I have a DL380 - but, but, but, It has a
"Compaq Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI-3 Controller (876)"
I don't want to use the integrated controller!

The Solaris 8 install doesn't find any disks on my system!

I have the latest DU from compaq CPQncr8.360.
I am using CD 1 of 2 Solaris Software 1/01
The system finds disks on the controller when it is powered up.
The hardware seems ok coz Smart Start can write data to it.

Re: Wide Ultra SCSI-3 card wont install

The Compaq website and the DU readme is incorrect. The DU simply does NOT
contain the driver for this card. It as an adaptec card and the driver can found
at the Adaptec web site. Its pretty pathetic that this misinformation can be
published on the web site - and remain there for so long. Its cost me a lot of time.
