Wide Ultra SCSI amber light on

Hi I have a Proliant 1600/350. Connect to my Smart 2DH array controller I have three 9.1GB wide ultra scsi pluggable drives. They are placed from right to left in the cage.

The problem is when I switch the Proliant on the 1st scsi drive (the 1st on the left) light goes amber the other two are green and ok. How can I get the other one green. I have tried other working scsi in there still amber.

Re: Wide Ultra SCSI amber light on

if you have done all as stated by prashant, try to clean the HDD connector on cage (from front) and reinsert the hot-plug HDD firmly.

Re: Wide Ultra SCSI amber light on

what happens when you move this drive to any other slot? what does the management agent report about this scsi drive, do you see any SCSI errors or a high scsi read error counts, etc? To access the management agents, (assuming you have installed them, type from a browser window : http://localhost:2301 or https://localhost:2381).

Could you run Array Diagnostics Utility?
