Will 375872-B21 SAS disks work on a DL160-G6 server with a P410 controller

Hi

I´ve a DL160G6 server (590161-001) which has a P410 controller and two HP 2TB 6G 7.2K 3.5" DP SAS MDL HDD (507616-B21). I'd like to have the OS separated from the user data, because of this I´d like to add two small and fast discs for the OS. I found these two (375872-b21) 146gb 15krpm , which, as per HP are compatillble with the DL160-G5 but I couldn´t find anything about G6 compatibility.

I'd like to know if they will fit my server. Wil they both physically fit my server (get inside the disk bay) and will they work ?

Thanks for any help

Hi,

HP ProLiant DL160 Generation 6 (G6) QuickSpecs

HP Smart Array P410 Controller QuickSpecs

375872-B21 (376595-001)  146GB hot-plug SAS hard drive - 15,000 RPM, 3.5-inch large form factor, technically the size of the drive is standard and it does fit into the bay but the connectors at the drive backplane may not be compatible with this drive.

Thank You!

Hi Suman and thanks for your answer. Just one more question.

Is it safe to assume that, If the connectors are the same than the ones in my 2tb drives (which are working fine with the  server), the new 146gb drives will be compatible with the server ?

I´m asking this because I cannot install the drives prior to buying them to ensure compatibility, but I am allowed to inspect them so if I can be sure they will be compatible if their back connectors look equal to my current 2tb connectors I'll be fine. I´ll just compare them side by side to my current drives and if they look the same I´ll  buy them.

Thanks again.
