Will HP Turbo Z Drive work on Proliant Server?

Hi all,

I raise this question because I have 1 HP Proliant Server DL380G7 designated for testing prupose. The host OS is Windows Server 2012R2 with VMWare Workstation 11 and run several VM. I am looking for acceration solution since each VM takes too much I/O but I cannot affort SAS SSD as budget reason. Can I install a HP Turbo Z Drive card on the server and move temp/swap file on it. The card costs much less then server grade SAS SSD and I don't know if I can use a general SATA SSD and maintenacne issue.

The server should accept any standard PCI card.  It won't be an officially supported server option of course, so you'll need to worry about finding and installing the correct drivers on your own.

In other words, it should work.
