Win XP Pro on ML310G5
I have been told in the past that tp get Win XP Pro up and working on this server that all I need is the E200 raid drivers for Win Srv 2003. When pressing F6 during windows install I specify the drivers (via HP USB Floppy drive) and the installation continues without problem......then gets to a specific point to discover the controller and fails. I have tried the supplied E200 drivers for both Win Srv 2003 and 2008. Also have tried the LSI drivers for Xp and it fails as well. Does anyone know or have any suggestions for me please........

Re: Win XP Pro on ML310G5
Hi,
Extract the driver files from the exe file. Run nlite program in another machine. Integrate the extracted drivers to the OS CD or DVD. Start the Server with new CD or DVD.
Explore the nlite. You will enjoy it for customizing unattended installation.
For downloading nlite, use the below links:
http://www.nliteos.com/download.html
Direct download:
http://home.midmaine.com/~nlite/nlite/nLite-1.4.9.1.installer.exe
Cheers,
Anand

Re: Win XP Pro on ML310G5
Hi Anand
Do you mean the 2003 server drivers for the E200 Raid Controller? If so I have tried these drivers via floppy disk and had no luck.
regards
Tim

Hi,
Download the driver package from the following link:
HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver for Windows 2000
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=1157688&prodNameId=3182562&swEnvOID=181&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-02e42aa767e64887be27307455
Extract the files from the .exe using Winrar. Use the extracted files in nlite or Floppy disk (F6) and continue installation.
Regards,
Anand
