Win2k Pro on Proliant DL140
Has anyone had any success loading win2k pro from scratch on a proliant dl 140? I am unable for the OS to locate a boot controller during the file copy phase. I can get it to work with XP pro, but I'd prefer to use 2K pro. Thanks in advance

Re: Win2k Pro on Proliant DL140
Hi Brian,
I haven't tried win2K on my DL140's, but like you managed to get XP working. However we have had massive stability problems. Did you experience any problems running XP on your DL140?
Ours randomly shut themselves down or just crash. This seems to happen for no apparent reason, in some cases several times a day!
Cheers
Dan

Re: Win2k Pro on Proliant DL140
XP Pro did has not given us any of the problems you are experiencing? Have you made sure there are no conflicts in device manager, or that you have the latest drivers for the chipset? We are also running Win2k3 on thes boxes without any problems, if that OS is an option for you. Please post your results. Thanks.
