Win2k on Proliant 4500: Problems after rebooting during installation

Im trying to install Win2k Advanced Server on an old Proliant 4500. First i had some problems with booting from the CD, but after flashing the BIOS it worked. But now during the Win2k Adv. Srv. Installation, when the system reboots it just outputs the message:
"read failure. Press ctrl + alt + del for reboot". I tried it several times, always the same. The disks should be ok.

Thanks for answers.

Hello,
Are you using a Smart Start cd to help you with the installation?
If so, what version.
Are you using a smart array controller or just the on-board SCSI port?
Please make sure you hit F6 to skip mass storage detection. If you are using the on-board SCSI port, make sure it doesn't see it as a Symbios Logic C810 driver. It has to say Compaq.
