Window 2000 server install "an unexpected zero "0" ....ML 110
Windows 2000 server installation encounters error when attempting to specify drivers on floppy disk.
An unexpected zero "0" occurred at line 962
in "d:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c"
Proliant ML 110...sata raid mirror level 1 on board enabled. 2 x 80 sata disks.
bios has floppy disabled...enabled and attached floppy but will not read. When disable floppy get the above error.
Install's OS ok when just sata drives and no on board raid.
found one document on it but seems a bit drastic.

ps no bootable startup cd with this server
ANy thoughts....cheers matt

Re: Window 2000 server install "an unexpected zero "0" ....ML 110
Hi Matt:
This error means that you don't have a Floppy drive connected to the server when you hit F6; Windows is looking for physical floppy drive.
- use a usb floppy and it should work.
Regards,
Tarek.

Re: Window 2000 server install "an unexpected zero "0" ....ML 110
Thanks....managed to mess around with bios settings and it suddenly recognised floppy drive etc and install proceeded as normal.
Default for these servers is no floppy.
thanks
matt
