Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 showing 3G of memory on System properties
Hi
I have a DL145G2 with 2CPU / 4G memory. I was able to install Win2K Adv Server by slipstreating SP4 with Win2k Adv Server along with the drivers from the website. However, System Properties of Windows shows 3G of memory. Not sure where the 1G went to ??
Questions :-
1. Is there any configuration at BIOS to expose the entire memory to the system
2. Is any other resource/hardware consuming physical memory [I do not have any extra pci or pcix-e card installed]
3. Is there any patch available, anyone faced similar issue? [BIOS version is latest :- 1.23]
My initial call with HP Support was not fruitful, I have asked for an escalation. Any directions/help from you all will be of great appreciation
Thanks

Re: Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 showing 3G of memory on System properties
search on microsoft site, they suggested adding "Physical Address Extension" in boot.ini ( /PAE). That resolved my issue. I am now able to see 4G in my System Properties
