Windows 2000 Installation Memory error

When running through the Windows 2000 Advanced Server installation, after copying files down for 4-5 minutes, it comes up saying that "This Computer does not have enough Memory to run Windows 2000". This version requires 64MB Memory. Setup cannot Continue."

When running Smartstart and on the Diagnostics, I have 640KB Base Memory and 128MB Extended RAM too. I'm fairly new to servers so am sure I'm missing something!

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Windows 2000 Installation Memory error

Hi, the memory recommended is 128 meg form window 2000. You check on post when it boot it count the memory and that will tell you how much you have. Also you can look in the SCU (f10) that will also tell you how much memory you have. Is it all Compaq memory? Is that a new install? Hope this will help.
