Windows 2000 Service pack 3

Hello,

I am in need of some help. I have a Compaq Task Smart N2400, which I am running windows 2000 server on. I have been trying to install windows sp3 and keep getting the following error message: c:\winnt\system32\dcpromo.exe is open or in use by another application.

I have checked services and process and do not see dcpromo running anywhere. I am logged on to the server as admin to my domain.

I am not on an active directory or ever used dcpromo on the machine before.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I already have been to that site, and sent them a message. Im going to try it tonight and see what happens.
