Windows 2000 upgrade dilema
Hi,
I am currently running Windows NT 4.0 on our Proliant 3000. I want to upgrade to Windows 2000 but the C: partition is only 1Gb which won't be enough for WIN2K. I am running RAID-5 with a Smart Array 2DH controller, is there any way I can increase the size of the system partition without wiping the data? I don't want to do a clean install as I need to maintain user accounts etc.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Windows 2000 upgrade dilema
Hi, if I recall from my past training on nt4 volumes set extension done from disk administrator it is the only option for expanding the c partition. NOT REALLY A SOLUTION, because even Microsoft does not sugg volume set extension because it to risky. Once the volumes extension created if you ever happen to loss either partition it will bring down the other partition: Sugg to read more on it on the Microsoft site or even call them to found out more.
