Windows 2000 won't boot up

I am installing Windows 2000 Server on this machine. I am just testing it right now and when I get additional drives I will set it up correctly, but for now I am using the Smart Start 4.90 boot CD to erase the drives and configure them. I have 2 9.1 GB SCSI drives attached to an array controller. It looks like everything is going good, it asks for the Windows 2000 Cd and copies files and reboots. It then says inspecting hardware, then setup is loading files, then setup is starting windows 2000. It then says it has to inspect the drives - it scans the drive very fast and reboots ... and continues to go through this process ... never ending.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance.

update your system rom..the array controller rom and you might want to even update the roms on the drives..all available from compaq site
