Windows 2003 Server on a Proliant DL380/733

have installed Windows 2003 Server on a Proliant DL380 / 733. when I finished installation, I recognized that the Insight Agents are not working properly. I can only see a "Standard PC" in the Insight Manager and only the HDD config is enabled, everything else ist grey. In the Hardware Manager the HP Proliant Advanced System Management Controller reports an Error:
"Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)"

But I have installed the latest firmware from HP-Suport Pages and the latest Software/agents!!

Can anybody Help me??

Ragards,
Frank

Hi,

Have you implemented the full proliant support for Windoiws 2003 then check again.

Frank,

I'm having the same exact problem. Support Pack 7.10 A, latest ROMpaq.

The management driver shows a yellow exclamation mark in device manager.

Let me know if you find out anything.

Thanks,
Brandon

Frank:

Do you have your SNMP service "disabled"? That could be why the agents are not loading.
Enjoy!

No, SNMP is installed and running.

Sorry, I did not mean to respond for Frank. I would assume that he has SNMP installed, however.

Regardless, we both appear to have the same problem with the Management Controller driver loading, and I have SNMP installed.

Thanks,
Brandon

Re: Windows 2003 Server on a Proliant DL380/733

Brandon:

Try to manually install the agents, i.e., Update the driver by not using the PSP scripted install.

Re: Windows 2003 Server on a Proliant DL380/733

It told me that the software was already installed, but I installed anyway. It completed successfully, however, the driver remains with an exclamation mark in device manager.

Thanks,
Brandon
