Windows 2003 Server on "older" Proliants?

We are planning to re deploy some of of our idle/older Proliant Servers for a Windows 2003 Server test platform.. What is the Best way to get Prolaint 6400's and 1850's installed via Smart Start? Both seem to want a Smart Start version 5.50 CD at boot/setup time...But of source 5.50 knows nothing about Windows 2003 server.. Ant advice appreciated..thanks..

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/os-support-matrix-310.pdf

This is the supported OS list. What I have done is use the Manual option during SmartStart and selecting Windows 2000 as the OS of choice.

I have installed 2000 Server on an 1850R then upgraded it to 2003. That seemed to work.
