Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 & ProLiant ML370
Did anyone already install the recently released service pack 1 for Windows 2003 on a ProLiant ML370? Is that save? Will all HP applications work properly? What does HP recommend?
I have heard of stability isses (server reboots etc.) with release candicate 2.
Thanks for any comments.
Kind Regards,
Matthias

Re: Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 & ProLiant ML370
I have installed SP1 yesterday in the morning on a Cluster Node. No problems detected (bis jetzt).
The Support Pack Version 7.20A have i installed bevor.
On the Cluster are a FC Array and a RA4000.
Take a look at the MS Windows Firewall... on my Cluster are DHCP service and i must open the Ports for this service.

Re: Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 & ProLiant ML370
actually I installed the W2K3 SP1 just right now. And at the first start it seems 3 services cannot start automatically nor manually;
Insight web agent
Insight storage agent
Insight foundation agent
Anybody who face to the same problem?
thanks:

It is also possible that old compaq services are replaced with new HP services.
You may have to manualy disable them if a new HP agents exists.

hope it helps.

Re: Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 & ProLiant ML370
To avoid such issues the best way is to first update the system with the latest Proliant Support Pack (PSP) which will be download from this link
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22274.html
and then after that apply or reapply the windows 2003 SP1.
