Windows Server 2003 SP1 on DL140

I have a ProLiant DL140 G1. I have successfully installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition on it and it runs fine.

When installing SP1, after about 5 minutes or so, I get a BSOD. Machine_check_exception (0x000000C9). It just continually does that after every reboot. Right now, I'm back to not having SP1 on it, but I need to get this resolved.

There are no add-ons to the machine. It is a dual 3.06Ghz Xeon processor, 1 ATA HD, 2GB of memory. No PCI-x cards, no SCSI, etc. I've upgraded to the latest BIOS. The only updated driver I saw applicable was for the Broadcom ethernet. I've tried it with and without updating that driver to no avail.

Any help diagnosing the problem would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. The first article didn't apply, but I will run the Verifier tool mentioned in the second article to see if that points out any problems.
