a problem during the instalation SBS 2003 on HP Ml 350
I have an HP proliant ML 350 G3 and I buyed a Microsoft Small Business server 2003 and i want to install it on the server. I have 4 HD (36 G each one) and Smart Array 624 controller. I used SmartCD ( it comes with server) to create 2 logical units. each unit with 2 HD und raid (1+0).
when i put the CD of SBS 2003, it beginns to install but then it fails saying ther's no drives. where is the problem and how can i resolve it ? ot there is something wrong during the configuration of the samrt array controller.
Jalil

Re: a problem during the instalation SBS 2003 on HP Ml 350
hi,
try to provide the controller driver from the following side then check it.
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
and it is also under the specification
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/windows/index-all.html
So we should not be having any problem with that.
Regards,
Prashant S.

I loeded the driver from the web site.
what does it mean this :
"copy all of the extracted Compaq Smart Array 5300 Controller Driver files to a disk which we will refer to as the Driver Disk."
Driver disk = a floppy disk, for example ?
