Hello, I have a ML370 with three 72gb scsi drives in RAID5, and a 642 controller. Unfortunately, I'm running out of disk space. I would like to add a couple more (identical) drives and expand the array across them.
Will I be able to do that, or would I have to reinstall everything?
Regards,
Jocelyn

Solution
Hi Jocelyn,
As per the specification of ML370 G1 server you can have the following:
436.8-GB maximum internal storage (6 x 72.8 GB internal hot plug drive cage only)
Internal mass storage capacity up to 509.6 GB (6 x 72.8 GB (HP) + 2 x 36.4 GB (NHP))
NHP = Non Hot-Plug
As far as expansion is concerned it is Supported by SA 642 Controller.
Hence I think you will be able to add 1 more Hot-plug HDD to this.
