adding second processor
I Have Proliant ML530 with tow processors ,on power it give the message "unsupported processor detected "

Re: adding second processor
If you are getting the "unsupported processor detected error at POST", you will most likely have to remove the second processor and flash the system-rom using the latest system-rom image from our website (note: this will work only if you ordered the processor option kit from Compaq and both processors are identical). After, flashing the system-rom with the latest version, then, re-insert the second processor and check. If OK, then, go ahead an run the latest SCU, press ctrl+A with the system configuration utility option highlighted to enter advance mode. run scu...configure hardware...review/modify...view/edit details..then, arrow down to ADVANCED FEATURES section to set APIC to "full table mapped"...save/exit.
