additional hardisk
We are using ML370 server with RAID 5 system and we are planning to add additional hardrive because we are running out of space. I have one spare scsi drive but with a rebuild content file of our server(we use this when one drive crushes) , is it possible just to put this to the free port and windows will detect as unallocated space?

Re: additional hardisk
Ariel,
Assuming you have SmartArray controller in your ML370 - see this thread
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?threadId=967622
Main problem with this method - if you have only disk C:\ - you cannot extend disk C:\ with diskpart. If is it you case you need to do backup (Ghost)/reconfigure RAID5 with additional drive/restore

Re: additional hardisk
Nope, it wont happen that easy... you need to put the drive, expand the array, extend the logical drive, and then extend the partition in windows.

Re: additional hardisk
Would these instructions apply to Netware 6 as well? I need to add another separate volume (for storage only)
