advanced system controller error
Hi,
I recently updated my server from windows 2003 to windows 2008 SP2.
My problem is that i receive this error "Windows encountered a problem while installing device drivers for your HP ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. A device attached to the system is not functioning". My server is a dl320g2 and after the system upgrade the fan is always at
maximun speed. Thanks.
Armando

Re: advanced system controller error
Hello,
Did you upgrade your ProLiant Support Pack before updating to SP2 ?
If not please reapply the correct PSP, and i'm sure the driver error will disappear.
Regards

Re: advanced system controller error
I tried but I received this error when installing "HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Server 2003/2008. The software is not supported for installation on this system.
The installation program couldn't find the appropriate system management
controller driver which is required but is not currently installed. Please
install the appropriate system management controller driver and then rerun
the setup program.".
I upgraded the PSP before updating to SP2.
Thanks.
Armando
