automatic startup of hpadu

hpadu, the "Array Diagnostic Utility"
can help monitor the health of, in our
case a Smartarray 6i RAID controller
internal to a DL385 server.

Question: why does this software not
come along with provisions to startup
automatically (such as a script in
/etc/rc.d)?

If I got it right, to have the RAID
status available for example on the
systems mamagement homepage, you have to
first enter the command "hpadu -start"

courier:~ # ps -e | grep -i adu
courier:~ # hpadu
courier:~ # ps -e | grep -i adu
24281 pts/2 00:00:00 .adubin
24548 pts/2 00:00:00 .adubin
24549 pts/2 00:00:00 .adubin
courier:~ #

Then the "systems mamagement homepage"
will display the choice of "Array
Diagnostic Utility".

Of course, it is easy to write an
appropriate script for .adubin startup,
but why is hpadu not loaded
automatically?
