HI all
when i insert my 3rd BL 460c server in enclouser 7000,rpm of cooling fans goes up & error comes (location rules not met for blade bay 3
we have 6 BL 460c server's, three RPS,5 cooling fan's & c7000 enclouser,
only two server's are working fine,all other 4 server's not starting up,even i am not able t boot my third server.

with half high you need Fans in bays 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10

it's mandatory to install 8 cooling fans for 6 server ?
but when we install 3 blades problem remains same ,3rd server is also not working & error comes: location rules not met at bay 4 or any bay where we insert 3rd server.
is there any procidure to change rules for bays.

... I guess there is only rule for full high or half high server ...

Hi,

You have to install newer OnBoard Administrator firmware (at least version 1.01 , 1.12 is the latest):

Resolved an issue where not all blades would power on upon insertion into the enclosure.
