boot from Virtual media

I have dl380 g6 server which has been connected to kvm switch by a usb cable.
when i try to boot the server from virtual media it doesn't boot, but when i disconnect kvm cable, it will but by virtual media.
any idea about this problem?

Check if there are any BIOS settings enabled regarding booting from USB devices.

Your description of the hardware is very brief.

I assume you are talking about
HP IP Console Switch G2 with Virtual Media & CAC

so you need : USB Virtual Media, CAC Interface Adapter (PN: AF623AA)
or : HP KVM CNSL SRL/PWR G2 ITFC ADPTR (PN: AF625A)

not just an usb cable?

please correct if I misunderstand your setup.

ya you are right.
i am using ip console switch and my server is connected to kvm by the cable you mentioned.
we have other servers with are connected to kvm by ps2 kvm cables and they are fine.
but the one with usb type have problem.
i couldnt find any settings on bios to help resolve this issue.
