boot problem with a Proliant 400

I have a proliant 400 with 2 hard drives.

1 - scsi 36GB UW2 and 1 - ATAPI 80Gb

I have windows NT4 installed in the SCSI drive but when I put the second hard drive that is an ATAPI the server tries to boot from it.

how can I change it?

Re: boot problem with a Proliant 400

The nature of IDE is that it will always boot up first.
The bios in the PL400 will not select the SCSI drive over the IDE aven if you select the boot order.
Sorry.

Some folks have tried to install a software "Boot Manager" to get around this, but with limited success.
Enjoy!

I just attached the drive via usb to circumvent the problem.
