c7000 enclosure not coming up
Hello
We have c7000 enclosure. The enclosure is populated with 8 fans their locations
- 4 in top bay & 4- in bottom. All the FANS at the top bay are indicating failed. tried swapping the fan between the bays and seems nothing wrong with the fans.Servers are populated in Bays 1,2 ( Bl480c) 3,4,5, 11,12,13 ( BL460c).To solve this problem we replaced the enclosure midplane assembly SP: 414050-001. But now after replacing the part all fans initially glow green then immediately chages the state to flashing amber. The enclosure refuses to come up and the OA hangs

Re: c7000 enclosure not coming up
I believe flashing amber means insufficient power. This happened to me with a p-class enclosure when I attempted to install a BL45p.
How many power supplies do you have installed in your c-Class?
What kind of power supply redundacy did you configure?
Have you enabled the Enclosure Input Watts Limit in OA?

Re: c7000 enclosure not coming up
HI
We managed to bring it on. It seems we had missed out on one connection that connects the enclosure to insight screen..we have sufficient power supplies & fan kits for the no. of servers in the enclosure. The enclosure was working fine earlier but all of a sudden we faced this problem & we changed midplane assembly. So all is well now.Thnx for your information.
