can I Pull out a processor

If I have a dual processor, can I pull one out?
Do I need a cover, or something to fill the hole, or is it ok to run without the second procewssor?

I am talking about a Proliant DL380.

yes you can pull it out. but please pull out the PPM (Processor Power Module) out to. if there comes an error like CPU 2 didn't detect or so on -> clear the NVRAM its the switch number 6 on the maintenance switch.
