cleaning DAT

Hello everybody,

How can I clean my DAT unit? When i insert cleaning cartridge it eject after few seconds.
What is the procedure to clean DAT?
I have an HP SERVER PROLIANT ML330 with an internal HP 72GB DAT

The only way to clean DAT drive is to use cleaning tape. After inserting cleaning tape the cleaning process is automatic and after process drive ejects tape. In your case you must probably use new cleaning tape.

Cleaning tape is new! Just opened today.
But, how many minutes employes cleaning operation?

in my DAT40 the cleaning takes approx 15 seconds.
