cluster with dl585 and dl385 g2
Is there anyone that ever realized cluster using MSCS (win 2003 server SP1) with heterogeneous hardware?
A client wants to know if this is possible....
Based on the official clustering whitepaper i told him that is NOT. But some people told me that in some cases this will work.
is this really possible? Anyone has done it before?
Thanks in advance.

-----------quotation----------------------
â ¢ All hardware should be identical, slot for slot, card for card, BIOS, firmware revisions, and so on, for all nodes. This makes configuration easier and eliminates compatibility problems.
-----------end of quotation--------------------
I'm especially interested in finding someone that has done it ever, for potential issues, problems and so on.
Thanks, anyway.
:-)

Re: cluster with dl585 and dl385 g2
hardware should be identical.
but "should be".
for sure, creating a cluster using identical systems should be easier.
I created a few clusters using different hardware having some problems (solved).
after of that, I choosen for create cluster using virtual machines :-)...
