compaq 1600 problem

Compaq 1600 server is rebooting automatically suddenly. Some times it gives blue screen with error message "NMI: Parity check / memory error. Contact hardware vendor. The system is halted.". Please help

Hi,
According to my experience,this situation usually is memory failed,maybe you can find out which slot of memory failed by event log or compaq insight manager.

I'm having the same problem. We changed all the memory as well as the backplane based on a suggestion from this message board. But, it has happened again twice since the backplane was changed.

I would update system bios and system config utility and if you can boot to windows the support pack BEFORE replacing any parts

do not forget to run system config via F10 partition after update
