compaq ml 350 fan noicy
We've got a Compaq ProLiant ML350 server. We new power supply ,and using win2003. Now the problem is that the server doesn't slow down the fan (which is needed when system is started),as i know The system fans are designed to increase or decrease in speed as the system warms up or cools down.
however,

Re: compaq ml 350 fan noicy
you're wrong here with this question!
You'd have to ask in the forum for Servers.
It would be the forum
"ProLiant servers (BL,ML,DL)"
in the "IT Resource forums" (not "Business support forums").
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=264
I'll ask moderators to move this thread there.

Re: compaq ml 350 fan noicy
Abdulla, I have moved this thread to "BSC/Server/ProLiant servers - Netservers" forum category as we cannot move the threads between the two forums (ITRC and BSC).
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Thanks,
Kusuma

Re: compaq ml 350 fan noicy
Only when these drivers are installed the system detects the system/motherboard/cpu/power supply temepratures and adjusts (decreases) the fan├В┬┤s speed.
You find the managemend drivers on your smart start cd.
best regards
