compaq ml 350 fan noicy

question We've got a Compaq ProLiant ML350 server. We new power supply ,and using win2003. Now the problem is that the server doesn't slow down the fan (which is needed when system is started),as i know The system fans are designed to increase or decrease in speed as the system warms up or cools down.

Do you have the T2200XR Firmware version 2.00 A (14 Feb 05) update applied from
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22608.html ? One of the things this update addresses is reducing the fan speed during float mode, so perhaps this might help with the problem.
