windows xp prof does not recognise 2 processors on my compaq proliant server.it only recognises one processor.the compaq proliant has 2 pentium pro processors.

Solution
Even though XP is not supported on any proliant server, that doesn't mean it won't work... You can try to upgrade it to a multiprocessor hal by going to device manager, then computer, selecting whatever is currently there, then properties, driver, update driver, install from a specific location, select don't search, then next...

Stephen Grimmer ,hello it help me a lot,but the system stops after administrator password.it recognises 2 processors but there is som yamming after administrator password input.please could you help me futher or tipy toe through the steps to make it work right.Thanks it been help full had to reinstall win xp pro and after f6 pushed f7 it does recognise 2 pentium pro proccesors,but there are still some wrincles.Thanks.Stephen.Full points for you.
