cpmgserv.exe process (Insight Server Agents) is consuming 50%

I have seen an unusual scenario on systems which have been converted from a physical machine into a virtual machine. Once converted the HP software is removed since it is no longer required but the cpmgserv.exe process (Insight Server Agents) is consuming 50% and the service is in a state of starting.

Is there a method of cleaning all ProLiant software following a conversion of a physical machine to a virtual machine? The articles I have read indicate this issue also is seen when going to VMware so can assume it is not a Hyper-V specific issue.

Why don't you try removing it from the start-up processes via "msconfig"?
