cpq32fs2 event log error

I have a Compaq ProLiant ML370 Server with W2k. I am receiving this message frequently and would like to correct it.

Event Source: cpq32fs2
Description: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\cpq32fs21.

What steps do I need to take to correct this issue?

Thank you for your help

Re: cpq32fs2 event log error

This is the driver for the scsi controller. Do you have a scsi adapter in a pci slot or is this coming from the embedded scsi? Is this an event id 9 or 11? Usually these are caused by problems with either the cabling/termination or possibly a problem with the device attached to the scsi adapter.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

I am receiving an Event ID: 11. I have not cracked open the case to see the actual scsi setup.

Re: cpq32fs2 event log error

An exam of your SCSI config is in order. Has the error just starting happening recently? First and easiest check is simply to make sure all your SCSI cables are correctly seated/reseated at both ends, and that you don't have a terminator that has come adrift.
