damaged harddisks
Hello,
I have a lot of damaged U320 drives. The Raid Controller instructed me to change these HD from Raid.
I think these HD`s have only damaged sectors, and if I send them to HP, they will repair them with a tool, but my damaged HD´s are out of warranty!
Does someone know a tool to repair these disks?
Thanks!

Re: damaged harddisks
Hi,
normally if the HDds are attached to a Smart Array controller he can detect bad sectors and remap them automatically if possible...
If you have windows installed, you can try :
chkdsk /f
it will check for bad sectors on your HDDs and correct them if possible.
Since the ctrl reported the failure, I don't think the problem is only bad setors, but you can try :)
