different ram for each of 2 cpu

hello,
I have an HP proliant DL 385 with 2 cpu.
Is it possible to use these processors with different RAM each?
I mean:
cpu0: 16 GB RAM
cpu1: 12 GB RAM

is the system able to handle and use the RAM in a proper way?
