Hi,
Does the dl320 SCSI daughterboard option provide H/W RAID?
I can see the standard ATA controller has RAID, but i think the daughterboard does not....Seems like a downgrade rather than an upgrade to me.

Solution
You are correct. It does not provide HW RAID. It is intended for things like tape drives or JBOD storage that doesn't require RAID. If you need SCSI RAID, you would have to get a Smart Controller, otherwise use the ATA controller for RAID.

the server ships in two models :
Storage Controllers
Integrated Ultra ATA/100 Controller Module (ATA models)
Integrated Single Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Controller Module (SCSI models)
